If you're a fan of the Star Wars franchise and haven't given "Rebels" a chance, now's your chance. The first season of this exciting new show on Disney XD is about to come to an end soon, so catch up now on the second season before it's too late. Rebels is a blend of action and adventure with some light mystery sprinkled in for good measure. The voice actors are excellent and the animation is stunning as seen in Season 2 Episode 3 - "Old Friends." In it, we meet some familiar faces from the Original Trilogy as they help one of our main characters save some comrades from being jailed without trial by Imperial Stormtroopers. I didn't realize how much I missed old friends like Wedge Antilles and Luke Skywalker, but now I wish the show would focus on them more. I'll admit that there are some lulls in Rebels, but these are brought to life with great action sequences. The animation is breathtaking at times, especially the space battles. It's impossible not to stop and stare at these scenes or get goosebumps during the show's more intense moments. Season 2 Episode 7 - "Shroud of Darkness" is a prime example of this as the Ghost Crew takes on a Sith lord for control of an ancient temple. Rebels comes together to create one of the best second seasons that I've seen in a long time and I can't wait for Season 3. Star Wars: Rebels is rated TV-Y7, here is why: - There are some intense action sequences and some intense moments, but Star Wars Rebels is ALL ABOUT the story and characters. The show doesn't do anything too crazy or crazy like. It's a more mature cartoon (for adults) that knows how to tell an engaging story over the course of 43 episodes. The show has some light-hearted moments inside its action sequences, but it doesn't take itself too seriously. - The violence is mostly clean. There are lots of laser blasts, blaster fire, and some ship-to-ship combat scenes here and there, but they're all very low-key. - There are some sequences where the characters are seen in danger, but nothing too bad. CHARACTERS: The main characters consist of Kanan, Hera, Sabine, Ezra, Zeb., Chopper and of course the mysterious "Fulcrum" agent that is trying to stop the Empire from taking over their home planet of Lothal.
