A young, pure-hearted boy named Kuro sets off with his weapons on a quest to defeat the evil King who has been terrorizing the country! Along the way, he meets three girls named Ichi, Ni and San and invites them to join on his adventure. The manga title is "Kuro-kun! Onigiri-bu /Ribon-bu" ("Kuro-kun! The Three Maids"): this volume was released on 11 May 2007. In April 2007, a live action movie was released by JVC. In July 2008, a sequel titled "Kuro Ova 2: Ni San Ichi Utsukushiku" ("Kuro Ova 2: Ni San and the Three Another Maids") was released.The manga has been adapted into an anime series by Studio Deen that aired between 12 August and 1 September 2009 on Tokyo MX during the early mornings for a total of 12 episodes. The anime was widely panned by reviewers, fans, and critics alike for its poor animation, bad English voice acting and overall poor direction.
